J H Hugill started
practising, in London, in 1892
and the firm he founded continued in existence until it merged with
Wilkins Kennedy, one of the top 30 accountancy firms, in 2001.
Joining Hugill, straight from college in 1979, at
their branch in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, and qualifying as a chartered
accountant in 1984, Gordon Round became
the youngest ever partner of the firm, in 1987.
The St. Neots office moved to Cambridge in 1992,
where it was based in offices close to the Grafton Centre but, with
further growth of the largest town in Cambridgeshire, it seemed time to
return.
So, on 1st September 2008, Gordon
re-established an independent practice in St. Neots, in the
name of Hugill Gordon, where the firm continues to provide the personalised, value for money service for which
Hugill was always known.
Gordon specialises in helping new and growing businesses in all aspects
of financial management. He finds it particularly enjoyable to assist
clients to identify and meet their goals.
Extensive experience in the owner managed business sector means Gordon can identify the processes for clients to minimise their tax liabilities, whilst meeting their obligations to the Revenue.
A keen interest in computers and technology gives him the ability to advise on ways in which they can aid businesses.
